SGC is a church made up of people from different backgrounds who believe in the Lordship of Jesus Christ and come together to worship and know Him. Our identity comes from the desire to passionately pursue intimacy with God, both personally and corporately. We are also passionate about people and walking in meaningful and caring relationships with one another. Our identity as a congregation is also rooted in the call to missions, which inspires us to reach out to our community and world.

We exist to help people be:

INTIMACY

Rightly relating to God – We affirm that true worship is our highest calling in life. To facilitate this, we worship freely in our services, according to Biblical pattern. We encourage regular times of personal prayer. We provide organized yet Spirit –led prayer 24 hours a day seven days a week. Simple instruction and internship is available to help develop powerful agreement in intercession and to help develop an intimate prayer life.

COMMUNITY

Rightly relating to others – We can only truly worship to the extent that we love God. We can only truly love one another to the extent we love God. Church-wide events, Bible teaching, and meaningful, small gatherings called Connect Groups combine to help us develop a warm and safe family atmosphere. Providing a climate of fun and Biblical instruction for our children and youth is a high priority.

MISSION

Rightly relating to the World – By becoming part of a vibrant community of faith, each person will glean opportunities to become more effective in touching others with the love of Jesus. A myriad of outreaches through local and foreign (glocal) mercy ministries, local church planting and foreign outreach, both short-term and log-term will be available. It is important that each person serves according to his/her passion and spiritual giftings.
