Pastor Jon Dunn

Senior Pastor

Pastor Jon serves as the Senior Pastor for Shady Grove Church. He and his wife Laurinda and the ministry team of SGC are committed to seeing the ministry of the presence of Jesus Christ released in and through a commitment to the core values of revival fire, missions both urban and global, worship and night and day prayer, transformational discipleship through salvation, healing and deliverance and a healthy community of believers living authentic Christianity based in the Word of God.

Jon and Laurinda have have 5 children. Andrew, who is preparing for a wedding, Elisabeth, who has a call to the Jewish people and orphan, Lauren and Micah serving in various volunteer capacities at Shady Grove Church and Michael who loves The Watering Hole for children on Sunday mornings.

Pastor Olen Griffing

Founding Pastor

Saved on March 2, 1970 at the age of 31, Olen, the son of a preacher, answered God’s call to the pastoral ministry shortly thereafter.

Upon graduating from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 1972, he served in his first pastorate at the First Baptist Church Johnson City in Texas. In March 1974, he became the Pastor of Shady Grove Baptist Church in Grand Prairie, Texas. This servant of God candidly testifies about the difficult 9 months that followed his arrival at the church.

In December 1974, Shady Grove Baptist Church burned to the ground. Pastor Olen founded Shady Grove Church with the few families that remained. Under his leadership, Pastor Olen built a foundation with a strong emphasis on team ministry, world missions and vibrant praise and worship. His vision to see the manifest presence of God and the spirit of the Tabernacle of David restored in accordance with scripture transformed Shady Grove Church. The All Nations House of Prayer was a result of this movement of the church.

Pastor Olen and his wife, Syble, have been married since 1958, and have 2 children, 6 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren. They live in Euless, Texas with their dog, Trinket. Syble’s mom has been living with them since 2008.

Pastor Lewis Hogan

Transformation Ministries

Ps. Lewis Hogan is the Director of All Nations House of Prayer and the Administrative Pastor at Shady Grove.

He and his wife Rachel have three boys, Josh (16), Jacob ( 14) and Jonathan (6). They have been at Shady Grove since 2004.

Lewis has his B.A. in Finance from the University of Texas at Arlington and attended Southwestern Seminary in Ft. Worth for his Masters of Divinity. He and Rachel were married in 1990 and throughout their marriage they have been youth pastors, associate pastors, senior pastors, home missionaries, and church planters. They initially came to Shady Grove in 2004 to be part of the All Nations House of Prayer; since then Lewis’ responsibilities have increased, yet his heart continues to burn for revival and seeing what only God can do. He truly believes a move of God is coming to Shady Grove and feels privileged to be part of the staff here.

Passionate about the presence of God, Lewis loves the transformation that comes from beholding the King of Glory. His life scriptures are Isaiah 40, Joel 2, and Matthew 5 – 7.

Pastor Niles Holsinger

Pastor Jim Morton

Men’s Ministry / Senior Ministry / Singles Ministry

Jim is the Men’s Pastor at Shady Grove Church in Grand Prairie, Texas. Having served for 26 years and a member for 32 years, Jim serves as a staff elder to Shady Grove Church and its members.

He and his wife Trish Morton are faithful servants to the body and community for over 32 years. Jim brings to you a heart for the men of the church to rise up and accept their calling, lead their families and be leaders in their church community.

Pastor Josh Briscoe

Outreach Ministries

Pastor Josh is a man with a deep desire to see people have encounter with the living God and come into a knowledge of Jesus Christ that leads to salvation. He oversees Urban Ministries which includes local missions, urban and local evangelism and caring for those with out homes and food and many other dignity-giving ministries. Josh has a passion for this generation to receive a revelation of the reality of the Love of God and respond by giving their life to His purposes. Josh loves to reach out to those who are unchurched, hurting, without the Love of Christ and revelation of God.

In addition to this he leads The Gathering which is a ministry to young professionals and university students. Josh is married to Marian and they have a beautiful daughter named Emily.

Pastor Levi Smith

Worship Ministry

Levi has been at Shady Grove Church his entire life. His life was dramatically changed when he experienced the presence of God during a worship service when he was 17 years old. Since then he has served the church in the children’s, youth and worship departments. He currently serves as the worship pastor.

He and his wife, Candiss, graduated from Christ For the Nations Institute in 2000. He then completed his Bachelor’s degree from Dallas Baptist University in 2003. While on a mission trip to Burkina Faso in 1999, Levi felt called to start a mainstream rock band, Radiant. Radiant has toured all over the U.S. and in several other countries.

Levi has a talent and call to worship and music. In addition to writing and producing his own music, he has helped to raise up and develop young worship leaders that minister at SGC and other churches. He has built a recording studio and oversees a record label. He is passionate about seeing lives touched through the presence of God in worship and music.
