The Gathering is the College and Young Adult Ministry of Shady Grove Church

The Gathering consists of all kinds of people who come together on Tuesday night as a community united in worship, hearing the word and usually going to get a bite to eat afterwards. We are in college, and some are out of college, and some never went to college. We are single, dating, engaged, and some are even happily married. We are working part time, full time, overtime, from everything to baristas at Starbucks to working full time professional jobs in the stock market, and some of us are even looking for a job that will pay the bills. We are into all kinds of hobbies like working out, playing sports, watching movies, going on road trips, reading books, painting, playing games and even some of us are into quilting. And we are saved, healed, delivered, stuggling, broken, searching, on fire for God, not satisfied, hurting, lukewarm, and some might even be lost in need of a saviour.

The point is the Gathering is full of all kinds of people from all different backgrounds, and all walks of life. Some of us are On Fire for God, some are searching for God, some haven’t yet believed in God. The truth is we are all coming together to find out who this God is and what is He all about and what does He want to say to us in this season of our life. We worship Him, we pray to Him, we talk to Him, we hear about Him, and hopefully after were finished on Tuesday we have grown in relationship with HIm. So Come One, Come All – The Gathering is for YOU – No matter who you are or where you came from. God has a plan for your life and we want to help you discover it.
The Gathering meets at 7PM EVERY TUESDAY NIGHT at the House of Prayer at Shady Grove Church.
