At Shady Grove Church the women’s ministry believes you are who you are and where you are because God needs a unique representation of Himself in that place. It is our desire to encourage one another in becoming who we really are.
I have been known as wife, mother, best friend, nursery coordinator, secretary, missionary, hostess, barista, pastors wife and many things besides. In all those phases of life I have been blessed with women who have spoken into my life and encouraged me in everything from breast feeding, and how to set a table, to how to prophesy and who I can be in the Kingdom. After 25 years at SGC I am honored to be stepping into the role of Women’s Pastor. Come join us as we encourage one another in becoming who we Really Are.
See ya Soon, Laurinda
We have a great future and as a woman of the Abraham generation, I am so excited to do my part as Laurinda leads us into the next move of God! We’re in a new season and it’s exciting! God is up to something and I know you feel it in the air as I do.Come join us and see what He has in store for us as R.are women of God. What a privilege to get in on what He is doing!
Love Y’all, Syble Griffing
I am Gab Richardson. I have a great husband, Michael (a teacher at StoneGate Christian Academy) and 4 children, aged 29 to 22 – Erin, Sean, Asher and Joey. We have recently added a family member, my daughter in law, Becca – Sean’s wife. I was called to be a mother and wife. The story of how I got that calling is a paragraph in itself. Maybe I will share it one of these days. If you spend much time around me, you will learn that I love to tell stories. I have “a million of them” and most are funny. I was given the gift of creativity which I enjoy using in every day life, as well as, in my other career- crafts. My desire for the women of the house is to see each one be comfortable with God’s calling on her life, and for each of the ladies to like who she is. I often tell people that I am weird. It’s true. I am a different kind of person. But Jesus put a gift and calling into each of us. That destiny is what I hope to help the women of the body to find for themselves.
Love, Love, Love, Gab
Hello ladies! My name is Tracey Smith. My family has been apart of the community of Shady Grove since 1983 and I LOVE this body! My husband Anthony and I will be celebrating our 20th anniversary this summer and we have been truly blessed with our 4 amazing children; Taylore, Anthony Jr., Farrah, and Heritage. For as long as I can remember I have been passionate about what I call Bridal Preparation and coming into the fullness of our Identity in Christ. Farrah says that I need to put something in this paragraph about me having fun…well, I love to love, and I love to have fun! I value and deeply enjoy true, authentic Christ-centered fellowship, I love great food, I love to sing and dance and being crazy and silly sometimes. I love being serious, I love being a wife and a mother, a sister and a friend. I love being creative in my home and in fashion, I love drawing out and encouraging people in their talents, gifting and abilities and in taking that next step. I love conquering objectives and obstacles-In short, I love being a woman! I guess to somewhat sum it up; my desire is to serve the people of this house and to encourage and inspire us as women to fully embrace the unique destiny upon our lives…it’s a high call, as well as a thrilling call. Daily walking out who we are in Christ and having our faces ‘bright” is where “the rubber meets the road” so to speak; the challenge of our lives, but that is also where our Lover, our Daddy and King meets us! It is no accident that we have been chosen to live in such a time as this, and it is my honor to love and serve each one of you.
Love and Blessings,
Tracey
Hello, beautiful women of God, I am Denise Lee. I am what some refer to as a “Lifer”. I’ve been at SG since I was 4, which is a lot of years! This Body has been my home and I can’t think of any other group of people I’d rather do life with. I am wife to Brad, a great husband and father, to whom I’ve been married for 20 years in September, which is also a lot of years! We have been entrusted with three amazing children, growing women of God-Jessica, Hannah, and Ceili Tate. They are extremely talented, smart, creative, and just plain fun to be around. I’ve been homeschooling all of them from the beginning, but have never thought of myself as a “home school mom”. I just enjoy being with my kids and homeschooling is what God called me to do. As a family we enjoy outdoor adventures-backpacking, jeeping, travel, finding a great breakfast spot, and having fun. For me individually, I really enjoy curling up with a good book, going to museums, trying new food, cooking new food, singing, and learning how to make pretty much anything from scratch. I love to have heartfelt conversations with good friends who challenge me in my walk with the LORD. I love to talk about life issues, whether they are politics, religion, or whatever, with my kids and challenge them (and myself!) to really examine our beliefs in light of Scripture and not just think a certain way because “that’s how every Christian thinks.”
My heart is for women to have a clear and unshakable confidence in the fact that God is good and His desire for them is good. If we as women can grasp this, we will weather difficult trials and just the storms of everyday life with peace and joy. I love to see women find their calling and walk in it-there’s nothing better than to see someone doing what their loving Daddy lovingly created them to do! It is a tremendous honor to serve alongside the men and women of this house, and I look forward with great anticipation to all the Father has in store for our community in the coming days.
“The glory of God is man fully alive and man fully alive is man glorifying God.”
Ciao, Denise
I am originally from Argentina. I come from a long line of Christians. My great grandfather was the first pastor in my state. This is significant because Argentina is 99 % Catholic. I knew from an early age that I wanted to serve Jesus and that I was going to live in country that spoke English. How did I end up here? It is a long story that I can tell you personally. The Christian life is the most fun and adventurous life a human being can live. I became a lawyer in Argentina but God granted my desire of being a mother and a wife. I have been married to the most amazing Godly man for 7 years now. We have two wonderful, active boys. The Lord brought us to Shady Grove and I love it. The first day my husband and I came, we knew this was our place. The next Sunday we were taking the new-member classes. I grew up around many Godly women. First of all, my mother, who is the greatest example of a Christian, friend and loving mother I have ever seen. I know great women who mentor me. My mom and these women instilled a passion in me to reach the lost. . God has given me a heart for mothers. I want to serve the Christian moms and witness and reach the unsaved ones. To serve in the Women’s Ministry in SGC is a big responsibility that I take very seriously. It is a privilege to serve in this house! Dios le bendiga! (God bless you)

Hello everyone! My name is Lindsay Holsinger! My awesome and Godly husband Niles is a pastor at Shady Grove and we have been married for an amazingly fast 9 years in October!
God has blessed us with the two most amazing children – my daughter Reese just turned 5, and Cameron, my son, will be 2 in October. Being a mother is the most beautiful and amazing gift I’ve ever received and I’m so thankful for my two kiddos. I didn’t anticipate motherhood being something I would embrace so much, but God knew me better!! Our family time is so precious and we all love spending time together – I am an expert reader, colorer and have developed a great knack for knowing when my son is climbing on top of a table in a separate room across the house! I work as a Senior Area Director for a faith-based, non-profit organization called Apartment Life, and although busy and challenging, I love my work and can honestly say that it is a gift from God in so many ways.
God is continuously teaching me to be patient, slow to speak, quick to listen, and I am nothing without my prayerful relationship with Him! If I have learned anything it is that my life revolves around the need to DAILY submit my needs, concerns and emotions to Him… His grace is so sufficient and… what I continually speak over myself and those around me is how God’s strength is made absolutely perfect in my weakness! It’s reassuring and literally LIFE-GIVING as a working mommy, wife, friend, and believer, that God knows I can’t handle it all on my own and that He will step in to provide, encourage and sustain me!! I’m so excited to get to know all of you and look forward to amazing times in Shady Grove’s womens’ ministry.

I am Elisabeth Dunn, I am 23 years old and I have travelled all over the world quite literally. I am blessed and highly favored of the Lord and it is my desire to see every woman no matter who they are or where they come from believe this about themselves. One of my greatest passions is to see young women who live their lives defying the norms of today’s world. Believing that with God they can do anything, go anywhere, and be who God has called them to be, world changers and world shakers. We all need mothers, sisters, and girl friends in our lives to help us grow and learn and enjoy life. I am so excited about R.are and all that the Lord is going to do in the lives of the women at Shady Grove Church.
Blessings, Elisabeth
